This review is for the Red Riding Hood room. First, it is definitely a horror-themed room, so not for the faint of heart like me. The puzzles were very old school, no tech involved, but a good variety to apply different skills. I wouldn't do more than 3-4 for this room and it's about medium to medium high difficulty. A lot more search and find than the usual, but that's not a bad thing. Mild spoilers: - the owner was so nice and gave us great recommendations, she really knows her stuff! - however, if someone says they're a super scaredy cat, they should not do this room. It inhibits being able to solve a room if you're just on edge the whole time and unable to focus. If I had known about how creepy it was, I probably would not have done it. Scary pictures, corpses, rodents and sudden noises are not my favorite room features. - we both have back issues so it probably would have been better to avoid this room as well since it involves some crawling (probably should have paid closer attention to the room description). - the puzzle in the crawl space needs lubricant or something, it is way too difficult to use. - loved the theme and the story, great integration of puzzle and story. - setting my own personal bias as a scaredy cat aside, this room was well thought out, great props and set design and good puzzles that involved different types of creative thinking. Loved the Brer Rabbit clue! - I like that they offered to only give hints when we requested it. That should always be an option so people can truly experience the room instead of being pushed along.
