I've been to Hubbard Ave for sit-down food maybe 20 times over fifteen years and more times to stop by for Chocolate Shop's ice cream. I've never thought, 'this is good,' feeling more like I'd rather eat my own food at home. It's obvious they try to cut a lot of corners using gross lettuce for salads, and very rubbery chicken. I only continue to go due to the convenience of social outings since many friends and I live around the area. I don't understand why Hubbard is a food fight restaurant. Hubbard and a couple other restaurants have made me realize that being part of the Madison Food Fight Restaurant Group has no meaning. If you want to go to a true diner with a variety of amazing breakfast and brunch food with big servings and pretty prices, go to Madison favorites: Original Pancake House or Mickie's Dairy Bar. I tell all friends and visitors to go here. Read my reviews for what to order at those places. The Restaurant Group also has Bassett Street Brunch Club and Monty's Blue Plate Diner which are good as well.
