I love this place, that's all there is to it! I get breakfast at Pamela's at least twice a week, same thing each time: the Tex-Mex omelet is fantastic and so are the potatoes. The price is just what you'd expect a diner to be, which fits my college budget just right. The staff are very attentive and I've never had wait longer than 10 minutes for my food. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is fine; they play a lot of classic rock and oldies, which much better than any of the new music being played at other restaurants around the Pitt campus. Lunch is good, too. Pamela's a good selection of salads and sandwiches. The chicken salad comes in a big bowl with fries, and it's very good. Now I'm not a pancake person, so I can't vouch for any of the hotcakes or crepes or whatnot, but all of the other breakfast and lunch food is good and homemade. In short, Pamela's is a good, family-owned restaurant that has excellent food and service for a reasonable price.
