This place used to be good, it really did. The food still has the same mid-level sushi snap that you'd expect to find at other places like it (RA, for one) but the management has really let it slide over the past four years. The servers here are just terrible. Rule #1 of serving, if a customer asks where their food is you apologize. Apologize apologize. Don't berate them, or tell them that it's coming up soon. Treat them like human beings. Usually you see a couple career servers in the place but more often than not you'll find the college-aged bottle blonde screwing up orders and talking to her friends about how expensive rent is in Tempe. Also, NEVER go to this place between 7pm-9pm, as those are the only two hours that aren't "happy" and you'll find yourself being charged top shelf prices for some pureed tuna and loads of mayonnaise (an American sushi tradition I still don't understand). That brings me to my last gripe. The place used to have 24hr happy hour. It was great, and you didn't go into the dark restaurant worried about paying too for bad sushi. Now, you might get hosed on the regular prices and have to sit in this sticky, dark doldrum while waiting 30 minutes for your food.
