Went here for my final #YYCHotChocolate Month drink and tried out the SubtleTea, which I'm sad they won't be continuing past the end of the month :( That said, there's a good selection of other cafe style drinks to try at Luke's, where you can sit and munch on a Citizen Sidewalk Cafe pastry while drinking your beverage of choice. That's just what a friend and I did for a very lazy Sunday morning coffee/brunch/hot chocolate date this week, which we followed up by exploring the store. It's a combination between your 'average' drug store and a speciality shop, with a lot of unique and delicious looking or smelling products. This isn't necessarily the place to head for a six pack of toilet paper (although they have that too), but it's a great place to browse for a gift for a friend or a special ingredient to 'up' the appeal of a brunch or dinner staple. Especially impressive was the small grocery of fresh veg & fruits tucked in a corner of the basement, which had very reasonable prices. I'm pretty sure that if I lived in Bridgeland I'd be in and out of Luke's on a weekly basis - with great selection & great prices, it's a terrific addition to the neighbourhood!
