I started climbing several years back and took a break for a few years. I started my return at HUB, and couldn't be more happy. I use to climb top-rope only so this bouldering gym was a whole new experience for me. The staff here are amazingly friendly and up beat. Their knowledge on climbing is extensive. I needed advice on some gear and they were able to give me some really helpful tips and point me in the right direction - thanks guys! The routes change pretty often (approx. every two weeks), so it never gets boring, there's always a new challenging path to climb. Because of this, I got a monthly pass (recently renewed it) and go a few times a week. The grips are rough, which makes it easy to grip and the routes are color-coded (instead of tape pieces) by each rock, which makes it easier to spot and plan your route. They also have top-rope climbing here, and a few are attached to a self-belay device, so you can climb by yourself without a belay partner, which is pretty cool. I highly recommend HUB - You definitely gotta check it out!! This is the best place for bouldering in the GTA without a doubt.
