I used to love Gib's. I'm surprised that I didn't have a 5 star review of this place written from a couple years ago. Cause if you asked me if I wanted to go hang out at Gib's back in the day it would be an enthusiastic "yes!". Somehow the service at this place has become very bad. As many other reviews state, pretentious. You could stand in line and be ignored for quite some time. Watch other groups get served before you. No one bothers to hand you a menu while you're waiting. No one seems to care at all. Time after time! Why is this the culture now to be considered a cool hipster bar. Maybe since Gib's was one of the first nicer cocktail bars on this side of town I was so exited about it. But their menu no longer seems inspired to me. If I am at Gib's which is rare now cause I just get annoyed these days at the crap service, you'll see me having the rye old fashioned. That is to me the best drink on their menu and worth it after 10pm when the rest of the classics are also $6.
