You know, I contemplated giving Cajun Queen 5 stars but it just doesn't hold up to some of the best meals of my life in New Orleans. I don't know if that's even fair, considering I grew up in Pensacola - 2 hrs outside NOLA - and Cajun Queen is better than any place there. I also lived in Texas - another border state - and never found anything at NOLA's level.
Cajun Queen is a classy spot without being too expensive, and has a few items I really like.
The complimentary french bread with olive oil and herbs is better than you'd expect. Take this tip - get the "New Orleans B.B.Q. Shrimp" as an appetizer. The bread is phenomenal dipped in the shrimp sauce. As far as entrees are concerned I recommend the crawfish etouffée, creole chicken, or the blackened ribeye.
