I was hoping I could come back and give a better review for this shop... I decided to give them another go, 2 years later. My nail tech was very nice, but the atmosphere of the shop just rubbed me the wrong way. She was on a personal call- fine, I can deal with that. The demeanor between the people working there was snippy, rude and catty. Uncomfortable for the customers. Another nail tech was one sidedly discussing with a client about people speaking "Mexican" vs Spanish (in remarks to a co worker). I thought that was incredibly rude More importantly my nails... everything looked okay-ish at first. My nails burned pretty bad under the light, which never happens and my nail tech was accommodating with that. In the end, I had some lines of color still around my nails. She tried file them off instead of using a brush dipped in remover, which I found odd. In the end, she told me my shade was just really dark and difficult to get it out of the creases and with a few hand washes it would come off. 5 days later and they're all still there. About 20 mins after I left I noticed that my right thumb was THROBBING. I snapped a pic of its swollen state and figured she had definitely cut way too much cuticle or it was the result of trying to file the color off my skin. 3 days after that, my thumb was still hurting and then bleeding. It still hurts tremendously and I'm worried about infection but taking care of it. When I go to get my nails done, I want to relax and not be on edge about the atmosphere or service I will receive. Fool me once... fool me twice... I really don't think I will be back, unfortunately. Giving stars because I'm just glad my color has not chipped yet.
