Soul Cafe is my favorite bar, and Connor is the best bartender ever, although Jake and Chris are terrific also. The bar area is very congenial and friendly, and the food is always excellent. The chef has a special on 3 or 4 nights of the week, with really great pricing. My favorite is the deconstructed chicken pot pie, which is an unusual combination of white meat chicken, silky mashed potatoes and a pastry topping that is like a floating waffle. Other favorites are the steak and frites, the salmon, and the pizza/flatbreads. And for anyone who loves live music, Soul has great entertainment 4 nights a week. Great crowd, great food, and great music. What else can you ask for!
