Every time that I have had a bone-density scan, I have marveled at how comfortable it is lying on my back with my legs resting on the padded platform. I have asked various techs where I could buy such a thing, and the answer always has been: "The platform comes with the machine." Recently, though, I asked the tech here (Cathy? or is it spelled "Kathy"?) the same question, and I was very surprised by the trouble that she took to answer. She took out a ruler, measured the dimensions of the platform, and then made a sketch of it for me. She also had some suggestions about where I might have such a thing made inexpensively.
I had always found going to this facility somewhat depressing and have often found the waiting-room music to be too loud, but this time I walked out with a smile on my face.
