I had one shoe repair which was an OK experience with ok quality, and then I had another shoe repair of some expensive good looking shoes that the repair person completely ignored my instructions on and completely ruined my boots and refused to take any responsibility for not following any of my directions. The rubber soles had been cracked and I told him to just put a new layer of bottom on the heel and the front. Instead he replaced the entire sole and I had to take the shoes to Jovas shoe repair where he removed the ugly soles that this jackass had installed, repaired the damage to the heel where the emblems had been ripped out for no reason, and then he did the repair exactly like I wanted. I will never ever go to B&L again, I warn everyone to stay away from there, Jovas is nearby and he does a great job. At B & L the repair person actually was abusive and threw the soles at me when I refused to pay him for the rest of the money for the boss's job, he also refused to return my deposit even though he did not follow my instructions. Part of the reason he is so incompetent is because he wasn't actually trained to repair shoes he's trained as an electrical engineer.
