I went to the Drybar with a friend and overall we had a really good time. The concept is great, you get a blowout for $50 and can order drinks while you're getting primped. They have a movie playing and loud lively music, there is a lot of stimulation. The hair stylist I had was Edith, she was very sweet and my hair looked great. I booked and checked in with my friend so it would have been nice if they kept us near each other so we could hang out since it's a very social environment. Instead, we ended up on opposite sides of the room. Not a catastrophe but it would have been a great act of customer service. The stylist who did my friend's hair was also talented and very nice. The receptionist was not as impressive as the hair stylists, she was very "unpolished," her verbiage was terrible and she didn't know how to print me a receipt. She had to go get her manager for a receipt which was slightly annoying and led to a line forming behind me. The products they use are very fragrant, like way too fragrant for me. I drove home with the windows cracked because I needed fresh air. All in all it is a really cute place and if I was a tourist I would probably go there. As a local I won't, only because the Miracle Mile is difficult to park at and it's a long walk from the parking garage to the salon.
