I fell into the Habit Salon craze because of their posts on Instagram, but unfortunately what you see online is wildly different from what you experience in person. I feel like if you're not white with two strands of hair they have no idea what to do with your hair or charge you an insane amount of money. I have extremely dark thick hair and I knew going lighter would be a challenge, after my first appointment my hair was still very red orange and streaky from their "hair painting" technique. A week went by when I followed up with my hairstylist to see what we could do to fix it she told me to come in for toner! Of course not expecting to be charged an arm and a leg again. I spent almost $700 altogether trying to fix my hair while it just decreasingly got worse. I eventually had to dye my hair back to dark and my hair still looks red in the sunlight
