We thought things were going well at first; however, the agent sent the following email statement to us by mistake:
"They're out. No deal. These people are just too difficult. Thanks for trying!"
He clearly meant to send this to his buddy at the dealership. Apparently he was unhappy with us because we refused to deal with the dealership he chose, after finding out that their online credit app required providing a SS number, but didn't have basic encryption available for this sensitive data.
Note: We ended up buying directly from another dealer (Autonation Nissan Chandler). It was the best car buying experience we have ever had. We give them 5 stars!
