We definitely love this place. We've been here many many times, but I will use last night's visit for a point of reference.
The corporate ownership recently changes hands. This has not seemed to impact stores yet. Krispy Kreme came to Canada under great hoopla, and this was one of the original Canadian locations. After the initial buzz wore off, people went back to their Tim Horton's donuts since KK's are premium priced at approximately $10 a box - they were even pricier ten years ago for the premium varieties.
The last couple of fridays it seems that the asian honda racing club has taken over the parking lot nearby. They leave at least 4 rows of parking for the Krispy Kreme customers. But I would suggest that you use the Plymouth drive access to the parking lot rather than the one on Mavis so you don't have to drive through their setup.
Inside the store there's a big glass wall so that customers can see donuts being produced. My younger daughter stayed for at least ten minutes watching donuts swim in oil and get rinsed under a niagara falls torrent of liquid sugar. We bought a dozen donuts. The selection wasn't as good last night as other nights. The lady in front of us took the last maple dip donut, much to my daughter's dismay.
We brought our donuts home and they were devoured by all five denizens of our house.
