IMPLANT NIGHTMARE! I unfortunately had an awful experience from beginning to end at this office. When I called to book an appt to get in for an implant I was able to get in within a week to see Dr. Butler. This was nice at the moment, but looking back can see why I was able to get in so soon. They did offer pricing over the phone as to what to expect which was pretty average but when I completed my evaluation, was asked to get the fancy ex-rays done (360) views of mouth which tacked on another 300+ to my bill which wasn't disclosed to me over the phone. This was the least of my problems though. After I payed the 50% down to get the implant done well before the appt, I showed up with no reservations (As I know several people who have had implants and had no issues). That appt took about 2 hours and seemed to go ok until I woke up the next day in excruciating pain. This went on for almost 2 weeks and when I called the doctor she said it was completely normal. I knew this wasn't the case as I called around to other dentists and did some research.. Sure enough, the implant popped out right about the 2 week mark! I am assuming the pain was a result of a poorly placed implant. When I called to speak with the dentist it took her some time to get back to me and then she said she couldn't see me till the following MONDAY! I was shocked as it was a Thursday and would be left with a hole in my mouth that could get infected.. I was so surprised she couldn't get me in to at least look at it.. BAD. So the following Monday, I went in to have her see it and at that point she decided to do more bone grafting. This cost me another $100+ which again, was just bad business, but I sucked it up and scheduled my next appt in 6 weeks to have it looked at. That appt went fine as the dentist (the other one in the practice) said it had healed nicely. To go back to the bone grafting appt, she did say I can have my implant replaced in 6-8 weeks following that check up appt. So, I had that scheduled. The day that I went in to get the implant replaced, I had taken my holistic medicine and had my ducks in a row in case I was to have pain again (Was going in w/ a positive attitude that this would be a better experience and that the last was a fluke). When I showed up, Mike at the front (which I had issues with in the past w/ his brash statements on phone- which he did apologize for but continued to be inconsistent) said that they did not have me down for an implant appt but yet another check-up. WHAT? I was furious and he said don't take his word for it he will check w/ Dr. Butler. That took 45 min. They not only didn't book me out for my implant but they had booked new patient appts that same AM and were running 45 min behind. I was FURIOUS! When Dr. B came in, she apologized and said that there was a mis-understanding and that I could take my business elsewhere if need-be. She said she would refund 1/2 the amount back to me which is ridiculous considering I would have to pay that entire amount again but I just took it and ran. I think this was definitely a sign NOT to have her work in my mouth again. I hope to GOD no one will have the horrific experience I did and is the reason why I am writing all of this. If you do choose to go here, at the very least, be ready for the run around between the front office staff and the dentist as they are clearly not on the same page.
