I needed to make a change in stylists as my previous person's place closed its doors. I was happy BIS was able to get me in same-day. Thus ended the happiness. When I first sat in the chair, my stylist offered to show me pictures "to see what you'd like to do." I'm old; I know what I want. I'd even said it when I called and when I first got there. I rejected the magazines and reminded what I wanted - more light color. That was a fail. No checking during the processing, it was a process different from what I've ever experienced (never have I gone lighter with no heat). So the color was 'done' and it was time to shampoo. Nice that they offer a hand massage after that, but to me it was gimmicky. And every product was narrated - I felt like I was in an infomercial. My stylist was very timid. I told her not to be afraid, you're not going to injure me by taking charge of my head. Trimmed not much (thank goodness!). She asked how I normally style it - what side parting, etc. Ignored my response - not only parted down the middle, but flat-ironed instead of foofing by curling! I was not happy. Price was good for the color/style, even if they themselves were a fail. Nice place, I'm thinking, for someone young person who's not been to a lot of salons and wants the image of being pampered. The gift bag at the end with tons of coupons/freebies/books was a little much for me. I'd give all that up for good color/cut/style. On to the next adventure ... sorry it didn't work out.
