Oh Hammers!! My boyfriend and I have been to Hammers a few times and have had so so service but pretty good food. So when my boyfriends parents suggested it for an early Saturday dinner we agreed. We showed up a little before 6pm and ordered 2 beers. When the waitress arrived with our drinks, we let her know that 2 or maybe 3 more would be joining us. She then asked if we wanted to wait to order our food, which of course we did since we had just arrived and we're waiting for more. She then informed us that shift change was at 6pm and asked if we wanted to close out with her or transfer our bill. We had only ordered 2 drinks and been there 5 minutes so we told her just to transfer it. While, of course, we understand that she wanted a tip for the 5 minutes of service and beer; it seemed a little pushy. I then saw her immediate bolt over to a corner of some other customers and assuming, by the sudden stares and dirty looks, was talking about us. Around 6:15pm, Our other guest arrived and she ended up taking our food order too. When her replacement waitress finally showed up, low and behold she couldn't transfer the tab! She didn't asked again, at which point we would have probably cashed out with her but instead said "the computer, for some reason" wouldn't let her. Coincidence?
Too bad because the food is good.
