Avondale was the first apartment I lived in when I moved to Vegas, and trying to leave has never been so frustrating!!! When signing my lease I asked if they could do longer than 12 mo, but per the company policy that was the longest term they could accommodate. I go to put in my 60 day notice & am told I actually have 90 days left on my lease meaning they gave me a 13 mo lease! Normally this wouldn't be a huge deal, except I had already signed a lease for a different apartment so now I'm stuck paying rent in 2 places for 2 months. Yes, I should've more carefully read my lease, but what a bunch of assholes for not honoring their own policy just to get 1 more month's worth of rent out of me! Oh, and the Cox cable/wifi is included in your monthly rent payment - I had emailed to ask since I was moving out early & had returned my equipment to Cox already if I could have this specific charge removed from my rent. 2 weeks with no reply and the answer was no when I called - worst part is when I called they knew the email I was talking about. THEN WHY DID NO ONE REPLY?! Not to mention grounds are not maintained - I got sold on a specific apartment (at a higher cost) because it was right by a pool. Great right? Wrong, the pool was always disgusting and dirty. It also took about 5 calls to the office to get my mailbox lock fixed - USPS wouldn't deliver my mail without a new lock. Crappy management - stay away from AMC properties.
