We had a Monday brunch here at $27/person. There's minimal seafood. So, don't come here expecting crab or shrimp. There was none of that. They had some smoked salmon and a coupon of types of sushi. THAT'S IT.
However, in spite of the lack of seafood, it was amazing. I literally tried to taste alittle bit of everything and I still wasn't able to b/c of just the variety they have. I love the little dishes where it was like you got your own little serving made just for you instead of the vat of food other buffets had. They were very creative and the quality was so good.
The French Toast with Chantilly cream or honey butter with the maple syrup was hands down the BEST French Toast I have EVER had...EVER. I mean it had crispy edges and soft thick chewy toast. AMAZING.
The eggs benedict was really yummy and the english muffin was still crispy and chewy. I can see if it sits it can get hard but I got it fresh. The hollandaise was tasty, creamy, and just right. I wish they had parsley but it was still good w/o it.
The craving station is insane. The prime rib is great but even better is the server. I asked him to give me a piece that was alittle more cooked. With no hesitation, he put it on the grill for a minute and gave it back to me. PERFECTION. It was nice medium cooked for me. The server was hands down THE BEST! The thick sliced bacon is madness. It was flavorful and meaty. The pork shoulder was like eating pork belly with less fat.. It was very awesome.
The little truffle moose cone is pretty interesting and yummy. It reminds me of onion dip with potato chip.
The smoked salmon is very good and tasty. Generous portions.
The sushi was really really good even though there wasn't alot of variety. What they did have was done WELL. I rather have a couple of really good rolls than a 100 bad rolls. They didn't put too much rice and it flavorful. I didn't even need soy sauce.
The lamb bolognese was absolutely delish. It was seasoned perfectly and the flavors were layered and complex. It's a must try. You just smile when you eat it b/c it's just comfort food. The risotto balls were the best I've ever had. They were crispy and very tasty. The fried chicken wasn't great but I don't come to buffets to eat fried chicken.
The bone marrow was madness. It was so flavorful and tasted great with the toast. They seasoned it perfectly.
The chinese roast pork was very good quality and crunchy but make sure you get the hoison dipping sauce with it.
The crispy pan fried chinese noodles was soooooo good. You have to try it. I usually don't even bother eating chinese food at a non-chinese restaurant but this was even better than any authentic chinese restaurant!
The dessert selection was mind blowing. Everything was good. I wish I could have tried everything but I was on the verge of a food coma. The gelato was very good and the waffle cups it comes in was genius!
Even though it didn't have the typical buffet selections like crab or seafood, I think it was totally worth it for the creativity and price. You can have the usual anytime. Why not try something different.
There was NO WAIT at 2:30pm on a Monday.
