Stayed here for one night as a Valentine's Day staycation with my partner. The hotel is valet only. The lobby was large, definitely gave off a luxury feel. Check-in was quick, and after inquiring about a late check-out, Alyssa, the front desk employee who assisted us, offered a complimentary 12pm checkout instead of 11, since another guest was booked for that room later in the day. Fine by us! The room itself was just like the photos on their website - very modern furnishings. We were on Floor 20, and while our view did include Lake Bellagio, it was very off to the end of the window, but nevertheless nice to look at night - didn't have to crane our necks or anything. I was expecting the view to be like that anyway, since Vdara is off the Strip and behind the Cosmopolitan, which dominates better views of the lake than Vdara. We ordered room service, which promptly arrived in the estimated time. The server was very courteous and chatted with us as he set the kitchenette table with our meal, which was all elegantly plated. I ordered the Cedar Roasted Salmon with beurre blanc, with sides of polenta and butter-poached baby vegetables (it also came with a bread basket). My partner, who is vegetarian, ordered the Vegetarian pizza and Roasted Pita chips with spinach dip. For dessert we both ordered creme brulee. Everything tasted excellent! The bed was super comfortable, I slept like a baby. Absolutely heard no noise from other rooms, and only one or two occasional noises from people using the elevator, since our room was right off it. I did want to use the shower in the morning, but didn't because I would've had to blow-dry my hair (which they already offer in the vanity drawer) and forgot my heat-protecting styling serum at home. Toiletries provided were shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial soap, body lotion, and body soap. Everything was mostly great, but a few things prevented me from giving this a full 5 stars: - One of the lampshades was very wobbly - found this out by accident when I bumped into it. Are they supposed to be wobbly? Not sure what happened there, but figured for a luxury hotel it would be more secure. - Robes only available upon request. - The toilet paper rod was also strange. Only one end was attached to the wall by design, and it wasn't secure either, so getting toilet paper meant being careful not to tilt the rod and have the roll fall off it. - 4 body towels, 2 hand towels, but only 1 face washcloth. - Mini-fridge is MUCH TOO SMALL, roughly half of it is usable space. While our dinner was delicious, there was also a lot of food, so storing it in the fridge overnight required re-plating the food on the saucers to fit. - The air conditioning system is very dusty. I noticed dust starting to accumulate on the dark surfaces, and floating in the air. That needs to be looked at. Overall, though, it was a great stay - would've liked to stay here for an extra night, and hopefully will get to do so in the near future.
