I recently was in Ohio for business and stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and I must say, I was pretty disappointed. After a long day of travel which included canceled and delayed flights, a broken key in the rental car ignition and icy winter roads, I was ready to check in and crash for the night. Upon arriving to the hotel the woman at the front desk was very sweet and pleasant. I checked in and proceeded to my room. When I opened the door it appeared that the room hadn't been cleaned for my stay. The bed was made but there were other parts of the room that were a bit off. Random drawers were open, the curtains were open on one side, the bathroom mirror had toothpaste or soap on it and there were pretzels that had been crunched on the floor still needing to be vacuumed. I called down to the front desk with no answer. Kept calling and eventually went down and could not find anyone. Went back to my room and decided just to sleep out of pure exhaustion. That didn't last long because the fire alarm went of twice! Again I called the front desk several times with no answer. The next morning I expressed my concerns about my room and was assured it would be taken care of. When I arrived back later that night, the mirror was clean, the bed was made, but the pretzels remained. The next day I talked to the front desk once more that my room wasn't clean and specifically mentioned the pretzels. Yet again on my 3rd night at this hotel the pretzels were STILL THERE! Once more I expressed my concern and this time, my extreme disappointment in this matter. The last night of my stay the pretzels were still in my company but I awoke to a note that had been slipped under my door in the middle of the night. It was an apology and 2 tickets to the breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant. When our morning meeting was over I went back up to my room to grab my things and check out. I opened my door to a member of housekeeping FINALLY vacuuming up the pretzels. I give this hotel a 2 because the front desk staff was very friendly and kind. But I honestly expected more out of my stay.
