I purchased RBC Home insurance last year before moving into my condo. Two months ago I had an issue where my toilet plumbing was leaking into the unit below me and causing water damage. My building management was telling me I was liable to pay for the damage to the other unit, per a clause in my owner's agreement. I rang RBC Home Insurance a few times throughout the process and they were EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable about everything. I couldn't believe that every time I called, I had a live body on the phone straight away who was always an expert on home insurance claims but also on specifics with condo by-laws and agreements. Even though the cost I was supposed to pay out ($300) was under my deductible amount, they found a way to reimburse me by having my management office write them a letter explaining that I was not "at fault" but simply had to pay due to a specific clause in my owners agreement. Overall one of the best customer service experiences I have EVER had in my life. Just awesome!
