John McDowell of JMAC came highly recommended when it became clear i needed to replace my whole AC unit. Tired of living in my house only suitable for bikram yoga lessons, i called around to get estimates. replacing an AC in August weather in AZ is not an easy feat, not in time, ease, or $$$, especially being a female. I was given some endearing background about John and his work ethic with his high recommendation: he's a former fire fighter captain, has a large family who tirelessly works for his business and is very honest, making his customer service second to none. OK, i'll call john and the other guys too. John immediately called, and offered to fix my beyond rescusitation ac unit as an alternative to buying a new one to save money. No, i said, i'm pretty sure the unit i have is not fixable. after his inspection he concurred. he sent me a bid for the top of the line Trane AC unit. I had a bid from another company come in lower, but learned this was a "night/day" unit, not up to standard or considered as good a unit. i had other companies bid to install a trane unit and by far jmac was the lowest and the choice. even more impressive jmac offered to install my ac unit once i decided to go with their company the very next day! Other companies that put in the bid offered to install in a week or so. Jmac also offered finance/payment options, though i paid in full with my credit card.
i was at work the next day when jmac crew showed up and gave my home fresh air via new unit. even my pet beta fish was grateful. when i came home from work i saw my new unit installed on my roof, better yet i walked into a nice air conditioned home, my thermostat all modern and installed with my manuals left in place.
jmac did a top notch job, all i had to do was give my ok and they got the job done right away. the unit i bought also includes 2 years labor, 5 years parts and 10 years warranty. I'm very happy and cooled off with jmac and think they deserve to be considered for ac/heating needs. this professional, affordable and generous family owned business more than deserves the 5 star rating they earned.
