This location is a little better than the Milwaukee Street location. However, if you happen to be in Sun Prairie, I suggest you shop at the Sun Prairie Woodman's on Grand Avenue. The clientele here is almost as sketchy as the Milwaukee Street location, especially late at night. However, price is why one shops at Woodman's, so that all can be overlooked when shopping during normal hours. As far as food, shop here for non perishables, dairy, meat, and frozen food. There is always a great selection of produce, but the secret to their good prices is that everything is close to expiration when you buy it. I have purchased plenty of strawberries from Woodman's over the years but never once actually ate one. They are usually moldy a day or two later. I even found that to be the case with something like spaghetti sauce. I bought some a couple months ago that I used a week later, realizing only then that it was a day or two from the "best used by" date when I bought it. When it comes to frozen goods, stock up when they have one of their many specials on these items. I always load up on frozen pizzas.
