We would like to thank our waitress Dolly because she basically informed us that we need to give up on going to strip clubs in Phoenix. Apparently the dancers are intimidated by couples and the management has them focus on creepy single guys because they are easy marks, which kind of sounds like they are pimping them out. Especially when statistically speaking, the average couples tend to bring and spend more money than the average single males.But we digress..Bourbon Street Circus is a top less bar not far from downtown Phoenix located on Thomas St. just east of the 51. So it is very easy to get to. We went on a Saturday and it was a $10 cover per person. This cover includes free popcorn which we did not partake in because we foolishly did not want our hands to be buttery and greasy in case a dancer actually did approach us.There are three stages and the dancers dance to one brief (maybe 3 min) song per stage and they rotate from the main stage in the middle, to the west stage and then to the east stage. The main stage has a pole in the center and all of the stages have poles at all four corners that aren't as stable, but still usable by the girls if they know how to utilize them and aren't lazy.We were sat at our table by a bouncer and that was our table all night (even though we did not stay very long because it was as if we and our money were invisible).The ladies were very beautiful though which seems to be a theme for all of the Phoenix strip clubs. Except this one had a lot of dancers who were surgically blessed with fake breasts. Most of them could not dance short of three of them that we saw, but they looked good faking it.Sadly, partial reason why we believe the dancing was sub-par was because the DJ was awful. We aren't sure if the shortening of each song was a club thing or just him, but it was bad. The girls didn't even have enough time to get in a rhythm and get comfortable. To the tall dancers: one with really short blonde hair and one with dark hair, we could tell they had professional dancing training off a pole and they were amazing which was why they were worthy of the cash cannon.
