I took my vehicle to the Toyota dealership in Huntersville twice this week for routine maintenance and to evaluate an intermittent grinding sound which they couldn't figure out on the first visit after spending almost $300 to see if things worked. On the second visit, they suggested it could be the exhaust system and recommended I get that looked at. Over to Meineke I went and within 10 minutes (they took my car right in for a free exhaust inspection) the service technician found that half the heat shield was broken off and had moved to the other side and was rubbing on some tubing and metal. The service technical showed me the problem, remove the broken piece and told me it was not a concern and to come back if I still heard the noise. Needless to say, the noise is now gone and I'm wondering why the Toyota dealership did not see this when they changed my oil and did two inspections of my vehicle. I will be recommending this place to friends.
