Update 8/7/17: We opted to return the AS2/Revere mattress after about 45 days of trial. Delivery, quality looked perfect. No off-gassing smell and the bed never slept hot. The mattress was MUCH more stiff than we expected. I'm 6'2" 215 lb. back sleeper and my wife is 5'2", 105 lb stomach sleeper. Yes, it has more support than our 8-year-old spring mattress, but it just was not comfortable. At first, we thought our bodies could be adjusting from all of those years on a spring mattress. For the first 30 days, we walked, jumped, and put weights on the mattress to try and "break in" the memory foam faster without much difference in feel. We had originally tested out Tempurpedic mattresses for "feel" and then asked Amerisleep what would best be like that particular model (e.g. the Contour Elite Breeze). The AS2 was recommended but didn't work out. Honestly, I couldn't imagine that there is actually a bed one level stiffer.
Ashlie G in customer support was awesome with her quick and easy return processing (5-7 business days to return funds) and offered to send the AS3 (one level softer) out in exchange, but after all of the time of sub-par sleep we were unwilling to do another trial run for most utilized item in our house and opted to buy the more expensive Tempurpedic. Although the Amerisleep's pricing was far better than Tempurpedic, being able to test out a bed, in person, is a huge difference maker. My wife and I don't want to have to endure another 30-day sleep trial again. We have now been on the Tempurpedic for only 2 nights and the difference is night & day from a comfort level standpoint. The comfort level (conforming to body without being stuck) and sleeping cool were our top two priorities when considering the mattress purchase.
Overall, the Amerisleep customer service during the buy & return process was fantastic; It's too bad that the bed wasn't the right fit for us. Grade "A" for customer support and Grade "B" as far as the mattress (mainly b/c the countless hours spent research/reading reviews and speaking to reps did not get us a close enough fit.)
