Before reading the latest news article where the CEO of Penzey's is advocating his political opinion thru his company, I would have given them a very high rating. But he stated that his customers support his cause. I believe in freedom of speech and everyone has a right to their own opinion. That said, I do not appreciate a retailer forcing their opinion on me whether I agree with it or not. Reporting that their customers support their political views leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Now, instead of supporting businesses for their quality, I have to factor in their politics. I'm not playing that game. I choose to do business elsewhere. Penzey's has a nice selection of high quality product. They are not alone, but they have just lost a long time customer. I'm not casting a vote for your viewpoint by supporting your business.
