We are in shock. This place is the best hidden gem in Charlotte. I found the Groupon and thought, why not... WE WILL NOW BE REGULARS! I truly can not get over how fantastic the food was. The signature drinks were also phenomenal but this place is a must visit. It is located in a quaint house in Elizabeth and is truly the most unique atmosphere. Great photos of New Orleans on the walls and the staff is extremely attentive. We unfortunately did not get to sit upstairs and experience the live music but we will definitely be requesting a seat upstairs next time.
The meal was great. The fried oysters were fresh, delicious, flaky, not over battered and truly perfect. I then had the cesear salad and my guy had the gumbo. They were both gone in minutes. The cesear dressing is definitely made in house, great flavor, and the gumbo was perfectly spiced and delicious. Our meals were also phenomenal... I had the duck over crawfish etoufee and holy cow was the duck perfect. We also ordered the chicken etoufee... I truly can not stress enough how perfectly spiced these dishes were. I grew up in a large Cajun household and this was honestly better than the etoufee my grandmother made.
