I really miss Harris Teeter, I really do. Ever since I've moved to New York, there is not a single grocery market that beats Harris Teeter. Great produce, great fresh goods and even a ridiculously huge wine & beer section. Whenever I go home, I always get an apple pie and fruit tart from the bakery section. Sometimes I find Harris Teeter own baked goods tops the artisan bakeries (even the ones in New York). They also support local companies with stalls and signs pinpointing whether it is a local item. For such a big company to keep on supporting the small ones, that is a huge bonus for me.
Would I come back again? No need to ask I always return because there is no place like home (or close to home).
