You'll come for the croissants, you'll stay for the Chicken Tarragon pie. By far the best croissants I've had in downtown Toronto. Flaky? Check. Buttery? Check. Their butter croissants are amazing, but their chocolate and almond croissants are ridiculous! I'm there at least once a week for a croissant. Truthfully, I would have one everyday if I wasn't afraid my ass would bust out like a navy life raft...I digress. Their lunch menu is a refreshing change when compared to the food court options at FCP and the adjoining office towers. Chicken Tarragon Pie Sheppard's Pie Stout Pie Grilled veggie sandwiches Roasted beet and feta salad (my favourite) Chicken Curry All are delicious and the queue of folks lining up every lunch hour can certainly attest to that. Now, I have not tried any of their other pastries, but they do have a large selection of tarts, cookies and loaves and they look absolutely delectable in the display cases, however, I'm a croissant kind of woman. As tempted as I may be to try them, the weekly croissant is about all my low carb diet can take. Oh, you're probably wondering why only 3 stars...well, the service is a bit slow when there are more than 3 people in the store, they strike me as a bit disorganized (I suspect they're still working out the kinks), and they seem to sell out on the favourites quite often, so they should perhaps take this into consideration and adjust their production accordingly.
