This was average Mediterranean food. Yes, the skewers are cooked on a grill, but the gyro meat was the processed kind, not the kind that is shaved off a cone. I got a falafel sandwich, and there was a distinctive burnt flavor. The person I was with got the shawarma sandwich. Zeitouni only has beef shawarma, no chicken, and his sandwich was lacking a lot of flavor (I did try it myself). Better Mediterranean in Charlotte can be found at jasmine grill.
