I've been twice. First visit: sausage biscuit and cranberry orange doughnut. The biscuit was high and fluffy, and obviously coated in butter (it was literally yellow). It had no flavor whatsoever. The sausage patty was flavorful, but overdone. The doughnut was just odd - tasted kind of greasy and I was not a fan of the cranberry orange glaze. Second visit: cinnamon roll and cinnamon twist. Both were very good. The twist was soft and doughy, with lots of cinnamon sugar. I've had better (and bigger!) cinnamon rolls, but there was nothing wrong with the flavor. As others have commented, I went expecting a place I could eat breakfast and found it to be mainly take-out. The cashier said there were a couple of tables in the back but that most customers got orders to go. I did notice tables outside but it was raining, so they were empty. There was a small line during both visits, but it moved quickly. I would go back but would not order another biscuit - maybe it is because I am Southern, but I was a little stunned that Rise would market their biscuit as the best dang biscuits anywhere. It's not even close to being the truth. The jury is out on the doughnuts since I only had one.
