I live a stone's throw away, so this is something my husband has been looking forward to for months, showing me the progress every time we drove by. From the "outside" I didn't really know what this Container Park was going to be like. We went for the first time last night, and it was a very nice surprise. Once "inside", I realized all that they had been planning in this little area of DTLV. There are shops (clothing, art, candy and popcorn yay), restaurants and bars. I wish I had a little store here! There's 3 levels to the place and a large play area for kids. Big kids too, b/c I took a ride down the slides. So fun! There was also a stage with a small seating/standing area and a live band playing. It's such a cool little place to hang out with friends/family, maybe grab a bite to eat/drink, and be entertained by performers, and well, people. I'm so excited about bringing my California friends here the next time they're in town. They're always so surprised to see the other side of Vegas, since like most people, their knowledge is limited to the strip. The Container Park is definitely worth checking out. I'm totally excited about it. I think it adds to what I'm hoping will be DTLV's beautiful awakening!
