OMG, I love this place! Best mint chocolate chip and butter pecan ice cream I've ever had. Freshly made in house, it's nothing short of heaven to dip into. I've given up trying to control myself by just getting a dish; I get a couple of pints every time I'm in there, eat them too darn fast at home - *after* the dish on the premises! - and still want more. I have never been a binge ice cream eater before discovering this place.
As others have said, the main downside is they don't accept credit cards, which I suppose is somewhat of an advantage for those of us who clearly tend to pig out far too much :-)
And it is indeed small, and parking is a bear, like it is everywhere in Oakland. But if you can get there, it's worth the effort.
