If you need (are dying for) baked goods, just come to Michael Angelo's. It's kind of hard to find, tucked back from the street in a small strip of three or four businesses, on Broadview Rd., just north of the northeast corner of Broadview and Wallings Rds. If you're looking for quality and variety, try Michael Angelo's first. It will save you a lot of time, cuz you won't want to go anywhere else. Their cupcakes may seem expensive but their prices are in-line with other quality bakeries. I've had the famous DC Cupcakes in Washington, DC, and, for me, Michael Angelo's cupcakes are at least as good, if not better. For my birthday I asked for a chocolate layer cake with chocolate frosting. Oh, MAN, was it good. Deee-lish! And the round cinnamon bread makes great toast. I imagine it would make a good French toast! My only complaint would be that the outside ring of the rolled bread breaks away from the next ring if you don't handle it gently, especially when removing it from the toaster. Small price to pay for really tasty bread. And the cookies are pretty dang good, too!
