The Terrace Café is one of my favorite spots in the QC. They specialize in upscale Southern food and do a fantastic job at it. IMHO, The "Terrace Fried Chicken" is the best fried chicken in town (Yes, it beats Price's Chicken Coop which I honestly haven't been overly impressed with). Terrace also has an excellent breakfast and brunch menu. Items worth trying are the shrimp & grits, the red velvet waffle, and the fillet medallions and eggs. I've yet to try their fried alligator as an appetizer, despite the fact that I'm an FSU alumn and a natural a gator hater.... But it's next on the list. T.C. gets 5 stars because they ace every area a restaurant should focus on: 1. Food 2. Service 3. Atmosphere 4. Meal Presentation. I've caught a glimpse of the kitchen on occasion and can tell that the guys back there really know what they're doing. This indicates to me that they pay their staff well, resulting in better food and service than the norm.
