Came here with my mother for a few hours on a Saturday morning/afternoon (arrived at 10:30 left around 2). We paid $10 to park because we were Mecklenburg residence. Thought I read somewhere it was $3 to park but maybe weekends it is higher. Park is beautiful as well as the beach.
POSITIVES:
Gorgeous beach with swim area
Boat launch
Able to fish
Clean restrooms
Friendly staff
NEGATIVES:
Beach goers were rude and inconsiderate - running all over the beach and kicking sand (little rocks- AKA SAND) everywhere
Parents had no control over their children
Kids peeing on the sand (no parents watching them)
Crowded
Parents screaming for their children so you can't come here to relax
Good concept, unfortunate that some people ruin it for others.
