One of my favorite things to do when visiting a city is to make my way to its public markets. And Jean-Talon did not disappoint. The market teems with high-quality vendors--meat and poultry, cheese, produce and desserts. Among my favorites: Aqua Mare for crazy fresh seafood and the ice cream/sorbet shop Havre au Glacé (get the pear sorbet!). A must-visit for any foodie in Montreal.
