Store review: I am a fan of Ruler Foods! Since moving to Champaign, I have been searching for a place for cheap dairy and eggs. It is crazy how much a gallon of milk can cost at other stores 3-4 dollars compared to Northwest Suburbs where you can get milk regularly at 1.99-2.50. This place initially looked sketchy, but after going inside I realize that it is simply a upscale aldi with Kroger brand. Major plus is the acceptance of credit cards for payment. If you are okay with generic brand of Kroger than this place will net you a lot of savings. Yes the produce section is very limited and you maybe better off going to aldi, but they had eggs for .79 cents, milk 1.59 and 1% and skim that was close to expiration (about 1 week away) for only 0.99 cents. I have never seen milk that cheap. Check out is fast. No grocery bags of course so bring your own. Overall a great place for basic grocery needs that will save you money. Pros: cheapest dairy, egg, sugar, bread in the Champaign area Cons: limited choices, they do have name brand items as well Hidden deals: 1. Bring a quarter to check out a shopping cart, you get it back after you return your cart 2. Bring your own grocery bags 3. Cheap eggs, milk, bread
