My husband and I went to Las Vegas from Vancouver BC for our 10 year wedding Anniversary with our 3 kids and I went through the YELP app looking for trusted babysitting services in Las Vegas (my youngest was 4 years old). I spoke to a couple of higher priced services and they made me feel like I could not trust anyone who charges less than them .... but I trusted the YELP reviews -- and Danica at Five Star really delivered for us. We booked 2 different sitters over 2 different nights. Both were incredibly competent and managed the kids differently --yet I had no concerns whatsoever about the kids' safety. One sitter was more strict than the other sitter but my middle child has impulse control sometimes and was being naughtier the 2nd time so I was actually glad to see the 2nd sitter was able to "lay down the law" and keep the kids safe under her control around the busy hotel property. We stayed at 2 different hotels on the strip and the 2nd hotel was also right in the heart of the strip jam packed with people. The 1st sitter was more relaxed and kids were able to have more fun with her but we were at a property at the tail end of the strip that was more kid friendly, less busy, and further away from the busyness. Five Stars deserves its name. Thank you to all the previous Yelp reviewers before me for helping us save some money on babysitting so we could splurge a bit more on our date night / anniversary dinner. Both sitters were young - recent high school grads but also locals born and raised in Las Vegas and now attending university. I did not put my young kids "at risk" by going with a less expensive service. Danica is truly great - I booked one sitter a week in advance and she managed to find another sitter last minute. The whole experience was outstanding and I consider this a fair and mutually beneficial transaction. Much better value than anything else you will find for babysitting along the strip. Our Travel dates were end of August 2017.
