I wished I lived closer to this place so I could go there more often. I really like the vibe. It's super 70's Southeast style. It's like a cross between the Regal Beagle and Louie's in the Bronx (where Michael Corleone gatted Captain McCluskey in the throat in "the Godfather") [trigger warning...I mean trigger apology footnote, I guess] I first heard about this place from some friends who live in the area and it looked so down-home comfort style that I decided to give it a try. I read that they offered cheesesteaks on the menu and when I called to order it I spoke directly with the cook who described it very well. The wait was a little long, but the atmosphere is old-school and pleasant, so while I waited for my food I enjoyed a bottled domestic which was on special. I have to say that it was one of the best cheesesteaks I ever had. The cheddar cheese on top of the provolone set it off, straight away. Even the fries were good (they were seasoned) and I don't usually eat fries. If you are in the area I highly recommend it for takeout or enjoy the ambiance for a quiet meal.
