We came home from Christmas vacation to find a squirrel moved into the fireplace while we were away! No clue how to get him out - so we started calling companies frantically. Only 2 places called us back in a few minutes and we went with Trutech. John advised us to cover the fireplace door and keep it dark to calm the squirrel down - before that the squirrel was in full freak out mode trying to get out the door. They will come at night, but it was at least double the cost. Once we put a sheet over the door, the squirrel did calm down so we waited to have him come in the morning. They can remove the squirrel humanely (with a trap) or quickly (with a pellet gun). We went with the quick way. The service starts at $289 - but we're paying a little more to have him fix the entry point in our chimney. Overall, we're happy with the service - not happy that we had to pay an arm & a leg to get a squirrel out, but s*!# happens!
