This is hands down one of the worst managed properties I have ever dealt with. First, the rooms weren't bad. About what you'd expect to get for the rate - hard beds, lousy housekeeping, fridge that doesn't work... But my biggest problem was that I booked the rooms through hotels.com and the original lady at the front desk barely spoke any English and didn't know how to check us in. So she said I had to wait until her manager got there. Then a middle eastern guy (who I was told later was the owner) came to help me and since I had booked 12 rooms for 4 nights each, I had to explain to him multiple times who was under my reservation and that I would be responsible for the bill. He assured me he would take care of it and when my guests checked in later there would be no problem so I left to have dinner. The first person who tried to check in had problems and they would not let her check in without her paying for her room (which I had already paid for). Our rooms keys had to be rekeyed each night, I had 2 other guests with issues and them trying to collect more money from them for rooms already paid for...the night clerk was rude to my staff...I could go on and on about their incompetency. Next time I find myself in Champaign on business, I guarantee that neither me nor my staff nor anyone else I know will stay there. I brought them thousands of dollars of business that they wouldn't have otherwise had and it's no wonder their rundown hotel didn't have anyone else staying in it. If I could give zero stars, I would.
