Let me start by saying that I did not purchase a car here, nor will I ever. Here is my experience with this establishment... I was working yesterday, and got stuck in really bad traffic (BAD as in; only moving a quarter of a mile in an hour) My car was having trouble and started smoking really bad.... Pittsburgh Auto Depot was the ONLY place I could reach in order to park my car, and get it turned off before things escalated, seeing as traffic had almost completely stopped moving. I got my mom to pick me up, and we left the car there in order for me to finish my job for the night and go home. The next morning, we call them and let them know the situation, we were threatened with fines and my car being towed to who the hell knows where. We tell them we're coming to get it, just please hold on. We get there, car won't shift gears... turns out, they removed the shifter cable cuz it was "in the way" even though I purposely parked way in the back so it wouldn't be a bother.. The mechanic was EXTREMELY nice. He apologized for doing so, explained why, and put it back on. My engine coolant had apparently ran out as well, so he filled it with water in order to get us from point A to point B, since we were trying really hard to get it out of their lot. The mechanic was even nice enough to give me extra in case it needed more on the way there. The OWNER (I don't know his name, but he looked like a punk) yelled at this nice mechanic asking what the heck he was doing, mechanic answered, boss-man says "well that's her problem, not mine!" Wow. And to think that I had actually thought about coming to you for business. Absolutely not. Boss-man, you are RUDE, IGNORANT, and you should NOT be in a place of authority. Your mechanic was nice enough to give a young lady a hand in getting her way of surviving going, and you have to be so rude as to yell at him for being a good citizen. I mean, really. We rushed over just to pick up the car because we knew it was inconvenient... why couldn't you just have a little bit of patience and let your mechanic be the nice man that he is?
I will tell EVERYONE I know never to go to this establishment. They do not deserve anyone's business. And I hope that mechanic finds a better place to work. I just can't believe the horrible experience we had with them on what was already an absolutely horrible day for me. Smh
