Been here a few times already and the food is consistently good. Really good.
The service however, is lacking. I've been here at different times of the day too. I've come at 5PM when they first serve dinner and the restaurant is slow, during the normal dinner rush, and I've been here for the late night happy hour. We've always had different waiters/waitresses every time, but this last time, the waitress was a bit obtrusive and we only received one menu for two people. Then she thought I was finished looking at the menu and took it, and placed it on the seat across from me. It was strange. Just leave the menu alone! Needless to say, the service needs a bit of work.
Now the food is really good. The black cod rivals Nobu's and the sushi is very fresh. I've tried a lot of different things on the menu and I have to say, I have yet to find something I do not like.
The only thing I dislike are the prices. It is a bit expensive, especially if you opt for the foie gras add-on. Ahh...I found something I do not like...whoops! The foie gras. (I love foie gras!) The add-on foie gras is tiny and is an additional ~$14. And when I had it, it was not cooked well, nor paired well. I think they should take it off the menu until they can prepare it better. However, their omakase and other Japanese food items are very good. Now, if the service was better, I'd feel better about the prices.
