Ridge Tool Co. is more commonly known as Ridgid tools distributed by Home Depot. Ridgid as I found out charges a premium for their tools and do not stand behind them when something goes wrong. I called after my nailer which was a few months old broke the second time I plugged it into a compressor. I was told without the receipt I was outta luck despite a 3 year warranty and the lifetime warranty (if you register for it at time of purchase). I was told that if someone were to receive a Ridgid tool as a gift and it were to break Ridgid will not warranty the tool under either the 3 year standard warranty or lifetime extended warranty because they were not the original purchaser. Total BS. After my $230 nailer was being repaired (4-6 weeks!) I went to harbor freight and bought an $80 nailer which shot nails flawlessly (and without breaking). Sad when cheap chinese tools at a fraction of the cost have a better performance record.
