Mad Mex is always good when you're in town. It's my favourite Mexican place in Pittsburgh -- they actually have quite a bit of spice in their food. Plus they are a sports bar as well.
This time, we started with 3 dips. While all of them are good, the black bean salsa is hands down, the best. Sadly though, my chickpea chili burrito was mostly bland. I blame it on my [temporarily] vegetarian diet, and the lack of ingredients in that burrito other than chili. I miss their chicken.
The waitress was unbelievably good. She wasn't intrusive, but somehow was always there even before we realized we needed her. If only all waitresses are like her...
